SOHC Cylinder Head Kit

2015 SOHC (HEMI) cylinder head kit suit non relieved 24 stud flathead Ford V8 blocks which will require a minimum bore size of 3.3125 (3 5/16") and require a front mounted 2 or 3 bolt distributor. The heads have unmachined bosses to take Bosch type electronic fuel injectors if required.
The kits will be supplied in 3 configurations;

  • mild camshafts with single valve springs with non roller rockers
  • performance camshafts with dual valve springs & roller rockers
  • full CNC porting with high performance camshafts dual valve springs & roller rockers

  • 1.810 intake valve
  • 1.5 exhaust valve
  • hydraulic lifters
  • 2 X 8mm HTD drive belts
  • spark plugs & 8mm high tension leads (black)
  • multi use tunnel ram intake
  • exhaust flanges supplied
  • all bolts required are in kit
  • all gaskets required are in kit
  • all oil supply fittings & drain tubes
  • block off plates for original exhaust ports
  • aluminum waterpumps with HTD pulleys fitted
  • polished finned aluminum valve covers with logo
  • polished aluminum breather with new chrome cap (or)
  • polished aluminum breather/dual fuel pump stand with new chrome cap
  • non 8BA applications will be supplied with an 8BA oil pump & pickup
  • NOTE: there is more than 350 individual components which make up the SOHC kit!

Developement work is finally drawing to a close with the SOHC cylinder head and independant testing by renown cylinder head porter "Bill Hanson" show flowbench figures for the intake flows 230 cfm & the exhaust flows 172 @28" meaning the engine they are fitted to has the potential to make 476 horsepower.

The valve covers are cast and polished aluminum held in place with two 8mm studs with Mitsubishi conical rubbers and washers held tight by polished SS acorn nuts. The badges are made of metal and covered with resin similar to the badges on the 427 sohc FE engine and the RHS of my owner made EFI intake, the runners are modified XE Falcon 6 cyl EFI runners.

Close up of rhs cam showing adjustable cam gear. The drive belt is a 193 tooth 8mm pitch HTD type belt, the camshaft protrudes 2 1/4" forward of the valve cover and lines up with the water pump pullys etc, an alternative is to shorten the cams by  1 1/2" and drive the cams together and use a second belt to drive everything else, you can tell me your preference.
